A t the surface of the lake, a few rooftops emerge. They seem to float silently, like the last remnants of a vanished village. These fragments suggest that a small settlement once stood here, before the water slowly rose and gradually submerged the houses, the streets, and the memories they held.

These rooftops have become the only visible witnesses to a former human presence. They do not tell the story of a sudden catastrophe, but rather of a gradual, almost gentle disappearance, as if the landscape had quietly reclaimed what once belonged to it. The roofs are constructed from reclaimed materials: weathered wooden planks and second-hand roof tiles. ​​

Balancing between fiction and reality, Flooded Village explores our relationship with transformed landscapes and flooded territories, whether submerged by water, by forgetting, or by the effects of climate change.
